In its fifth edition, the 2024 hackathon embraced the theme "Challenge: Linux" to promote education and creativity in technology. Students from technology and computer science programs at prominent universities in Panama had the opportunity to test their knowledge and skills in Linux, cloud services, artificial intelligence (AI), and other advanced technological tools.

One of the key challenges for this event was to ensure and maintain a stable and efficient Wi-Fi connection for the 460 university students and additional attendees, which was crucial for the hackathon's success.

The primary need was to provide reliable internet access that would allow participants to complete their challenges without interruptions. Traditional manual Wi-Fi solutions did not offer the scalability, flexibility, or end-to-end visibility required for an environment of this size.

To address this challenge, Beyond Technology implemented an AI-powered Wi-Fi network through Juniper Mist, becoming the ideal solution. This technology enabled automated network management and ensured a high-quality user experience without interference. In this case, Beyond Technology, through Juniper Mist, facilitated real-time monitoring and optimization of connectivity, providing stability and performance even in complex environments.

The Copa Airlines 2024 Hackathon – Linux Challenge in Panama was a success, largely thanks to Beyond Technology's expertise in implementing AI-driven networking technology from Juniper Networks.
